USES: Precision Swedish Crown Top Coat is intended to be used as a top coat
over Precision Swedish Finish For Pros to give a unique depth of beauty
with long term durability. Precision Swedish Crown Top Coat does not require
a hardener. If necessary, Precision Swedish Crown Top Coat can be recoated
after 24 hours. Available in Matte, Semi-Gloss and Gloss.
IMPORTANT: Carefully read all wording on Precision Swedish Finish For
Pros, Hardener and Precision Swedish Crown Top Coat labels. Review
the Material
Safety Data Sheets prior to proceeding with the application.
Prior to applying Precision Swedish Finish For Pros and Precision Swedish
Crown Top Coat, turn off all ignition sources including pilot lights,
heaters, fans,
and electrical equipment. Ventilate work and adjacent areas to prevent
vapor build up. Vapors may travel and collect in confined and low
areas such as basements.
Use only in well ventilated areas. Always wear a NIOSH/MSHA respirator
approved for use with organic solvent vapors. DO NOT EAT, DRINK,
OR SMOKE during application. DO NOT store in unlabeled bottles or
other containers.
SURFACE PREPARATION: Abrade the floor with a used 100 grit or finer screen.
Vacuum floor thoroughly and tack with a cloth lightly dampened with
denatured alcohol, lacquer thinner or water. Provide adequate ventilation
during
tacking process. Coat floor with Precision Swedish Finish For Pros
according to the
directions and the material safety data sheets. This will provide
the excellent base coat to receive the Swedish Crown Top Coat.
APPLICATION: Shake container well to disperse all additives. Check the
bottom of the container for any sediment of product. Transfer to
plastic applicator container.
Swedish Crown Top Coat can be applied with a natural bristle brush,
natural lambs wool, or a T-bar applicator. Apply at a rate of 300
to 400 square feet per gallon.
For best results, the product should be applied between 60ºF and 80ºF.
Apply Swedish Crown Top Coat from wall to wall following the grain
of the wood. Be careful
not to overwork the finish. Always keep a wet edge.
RECOATING EXISTING FLOORS finished with Precision Swedish Finish For Pros
or Precision Swedish Crown Top Coat. Thoroughly clean surface with
Precision Wood / Laminate Cleaner. Allow to dry and screen with a
new 120 to 150 grit screen. Vacuum the floor thoroughly and tack
with a clean cloth dampened
with lacquer thinner. Provide adequate ventilation during tacking.
As previously stated under the APPLICATION section, proceed by following
application instructions
and warnings. On badly worn finishes, a base coat of Precision Swedish
Finish For Pros may be applied before using Swedish Crown Top Coat.
TIPS:
DO NOT use commercially prepared tack cloths. DO NOT use mineral spirits
to clean or dampen tack cloths.
WAIT 24 hours between coats of Swedish Crown Top Coat. Wait 24 hours
before allowing light traffic on floor.
DO NOT overscreen.
Use retarder sparingly
Keep container closed when not in use.
MAINTENANCE: Do not cover or use products with water for 2 to 3 weeks.
Vacuum floors often. Clean floors with Precision Wood / Laminate Cleaner.
CLEAN UP: Clean brushes with lacquer thinner only. Dispose of unused finish
and solvents according to local, state, and federal regulations.
